I'm taking part in the Oxford half marathon 2026 in support of Thames Valley Air Ambulance. Their crews are there for people when they need them the most. Tuesday 16th Jun I’m running the Oxford half marathon on Sunday 11 October and I cannot bloody wait!I’ve decided to raise money for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance because of the incredible work they do, assisting in life threatening emergencies day after day.
You might know that several years ago Freddie and I stopped to assist at a very nasty car crash on the M4. After what felt like an age (but was actually only a matter of minutes) , the air ambulance crew arrived on scene and I have never been so glad to see anyone in my life. They were truly incredible and I was blown away by the level of expertise, skill and professionalism they demonstrated.
Not only was the clinical care amazing, I also had some follow up conversations with a member of the team to help me process everything that happened that night. They truly are amazing organisation and any donation you can make will go towards ensuring the service can continue.

As I approach 40, I have to ask myself if this is how my mid-life crisis is manifesting itself… it’s entirely possible, but I’m going to embrace it!
