Pre-Event

When do I get my Thames Valley Air Ambulance branded t-shirt?

Your t-shirt will be sent out to you ahead of the event. 

Who can take part?

You can NOT participate if you are;
• Under 12 years old
• Pregnant
• Under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs

Can I participate if I have some health issues?

If any of the following apply, you must seek professional medical advice before
participating and sign a non-standard waiver;
• High blood pressure
• Heart condition
• Suffer from dizziness or epilepsy
• Damage to neck, back, spinal column, legs or eyes
• Asthma
• Medication – if you are taking any form of prescribed medication, please inform us of how
this may affect you
• Aged 50 years or above – we strongly advise that you seek medical advice prior to taking
part.

Event day

Where should I park?

There is parking available at the stadium. 

Head to the North Car Park (accessed via the gate 3 on Whitton Dene, TW3 2JS, for sat nav) and make your way to Entrance Gate D

Please note, parking fees do apply

Can spectators attend the event?

You are encouraged to bring along your friends and family to join in on the excitement. Please note, only participants will be allowed to the launch and landing areas, and all spectators must stay on the ground level in designated areas.

Can I use my phone or Go-Pro on the zipwire?

You are encouraged to take plenty of photos and videos during the day, but phones and other devices, including GoPro’s, are not allowed at the top of the zipwire. This is due to safety concerns, as devices cannot be securely attached to a participant, and they are not covered by our insurance. This rule applies regardless of any attachments or straps on your device.

What happens if the weather is bad?

In the unlikely event of extreme weather, the event will be rescheduled for a new date. The organisers closely track and monitor weather on the run up to events. The zip slide will operate in rain and medium winds.

WHAT DOES THAMES VALLEY AIR AMBULANCE DO?

Thames Valley Air Ambulance is a charity at the frontline of saving lives. We provide emergency medical care by air and land to patients in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Our critical care paramedics and doctors are highly trained and ready for any eventuality. We bring the hospital to the patient, giving you the best chance when the worst happens. Every day, somebody in our community could be in urgent need of our service. We rely solely on the generous support of the public.
