I'm taking on 40 miles in March!

40 miles matches the average distance that the Thames Valley Air Ambulance helicopter flies to reach an emergency. The challenge is to walk/run my way to 40 miles, helping Thames Valley Air Ambulance crews be there for people when they need them the most. TVAA are not government or lottery funded, and rely on the generosity of the community, like you, to provide the best critical care at the scene and beyond. Thank you for your support!

Hey guys,

After a little bit of calculations and a really busy week I've figured out I'm on 34 miles so very much on track to hit the 40 miles in the month. 

We have got one last little push before the end of the month and we will be there. I'll update you all when we are done! 

Half Way There!

Hello guys,

Today marks Half way there for me on this challenge! 

I am absolutely blown away by everyone's generosity. Honestly, I started this thinking £250 might be really hard to get to but you guys have absolutely smashed it and I am now approaching £400 which is an insane amount. However, while we are on a roll with it I have changed my donation amount to see if we can make it to £500 which would really mean the world to me. 

These runs haven't been easy I've started a new shift at work meaning I'm in the ambulance for 12 hours from 7-7 and after finishing a hard day and then going for a run after your shift is difficult to say the least. However, as much as it while shattered me it's all worth it, it's going to an absolutely amazing cause and this money will go towards the Thames Valley Air Ambulance saving lives!

A Quarter Of The Way There!

Saturday 7th Mar
Hi Guys,

Today I hit 10.75miles and that means I am officially a quarter of the way there in just 6 days! 

This week so far had been tough, as I've said many times I am by no means a runner and haven't run in probably just over a year but I'm getting back into the rhythm of it slowly. There has a been a lot of achy legs and real pushes to get out there for those runs but I'm going to get there! Slowly but steady! 

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far I am half way there with the amount that I want to raise and I am so appreciative of every single person who has donated! Thank you! 

I will keep running and keep you posted with any further updates but once again thank you for everyone's support it really does mean a lot! 

First Day

Sunday 1st Mar
Hi guys,

First day of this run. As many of you know I'm not particularly a runner so this is going to be a rough month but it all for this great cause. 

This morning I did my first run I woke up at 5:30 and did about a mile and a half. We're off to a brilliant start though because I forgot to charge my Fitbit so I can't log it on here. However, I promise it was completed. 

I'm looking forward to the rest of the month and I hope we can hit that £250 target by the end of it all.
